Statement from Janice Park on the Recent Attack and Political Violence
Anchorage, AK — Janice Park, candidate for the Alaska Senate District F seat, issued the following statement in response to today's violent incident at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, involving former President Donald Trump:
"I am deeply shocked and saddened by the violent attack that occurred at the rally in Pennsylvania today. Such acts of violence have no place in our society and must be unequivocally condemned.
Political violence and the rhetoric that incites it threaten the very foundations of our democracy. It is imperative that all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, speak out against this kind of behavior and promote a message of peace and unity.
We must work together to ensure our political discourse remains civil and respectful, even when we strongly disagree. I call on my fellow candidates to join me in denouncing such violent acts.
My thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic event. We must remain vigilant in protecting the democratic values we hold dear and work tirelessly to prevent such incidents in the future."
